itinerary that best illustrates how local receptions are organized.
We hope that it gives you a firm starting point when planning your program.
 
Wedding Reception Itinerary (Sample)
 
 
5:00 pm
Doors open and receiving line begins.  Bride, Groom and parents
greet guests as they enter the room.
Cocktails (Pupus) are served, light background music is played.
 
 
6:00 pm
Emcee asks guests to take to be seated and informs them that the
bridal entrance will begin in a few minutes.
 
 
6:05 pm
Introduction of Parents, Bridal Party, Bride and Groom as they enter
the room and are seated.
Entrance song is played in the background.
 
 
6:15 pm
Housekeeping - Emcee informs guests where the restrooms and smoking
areas are located, and reminds them to get their parking validated, etc.
 
 
6:20 pm
Invocation is given.
 
 
6:30 - 8:00 pm
Dinner is served, accompanied by scheduled entertainment.
 
 
7:45 pm
Emcee announces that "Formal Program" will be starting in a few minutes.
 
 
8:00 pm
Emcee introduces Bride & Grooms' Parents, Out of Town guests, Bridal Party,
Bride and Groom. As their names are called, they stand to be recognized.
 
 
8:10 pm
Toast - Given by Best Man, Maid of Honor, family or friends.
Stories about te bride and groom are usually given before each toast.
 
 
8:25 pm
Video Slide Show (If any)
 
 
8:40 pm
Cake Cutting. If cake is being served as part of the desert, this then takes
place towards the end of dinner.
 
 
8:45 pm
Bouquet Toss - Emcee asks single women to come to the dance floor.

8:50 pm
Garter Toss - Emcee asks single men to come to the dance floor.

8:55 pm
Bride & Groom say their "Thank You's"
